The 2024 SevenGen Indigenous Youth Energy Summit  will be held in Iqaluit, Nunavut from October 1-3, 2024.  Our third biennial summit aims to bring together Indigenous leaders, community members, industry experts, government officials and stakeholders from across Turtle Island to engage in dialogue, knowledge sharing and collaboration on energy-related issues. We aspire to bring together and learn from the voices of Indigenous youth from across the North, who historically and presently continue to be excluded in the clean energy and climate action conversations.  With the theme of “Infinite Voices, Shared Futures:, SevenGen 2024 will focus on empowering Indigenous youth to amplify their voices as a way to develop pathways to a sustainable energy future for every community.

The summit will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, interactive workshops and networking opportunities focused on renewable energy development, energy sovereignty, climate change adaptation, economic opportunities and community empowerment.  Participants would have the opportunity to learn from Indigenous- led initiatives and success stories where they can explore innovative solutions and forge partnerships to advance sustainable energy practices.  The 2024 SevenGen Indigenous Energy Summit will provide a platform for Indigenous voices to be heard, perspectives to be shared and priorities to be discussed in shaping the future of energy development for the next seven generations and beyond.
